Турецкие экспортеры круглого сорта ищут новые рынки
Турецкие производители круглого сорта в настоящее время испытывают сложности с реализацией продукции в связи с медленным восстановлением спроса на внутреннем рынке, а также сложностями на экспортных направлениях.
В частности, из-за политической нестабильности в Египте, Ливии и других странах крупные потребители в этом регионе ушли с рынка, что вынуждает турецких экспортеров искать возможности для сбыта своей продукции на других направлениях, в частности, в Южной Америке. Отмечаемый в последнее время рост турецких поставок в этот регион уже привел к значительному увеличению конкурирующих предложений в этом регионе.
Отметим, что сейчас данная продукция турецкого производства предлагается по $720-760 за т fob.
На фоне дефицита поставок лома и высоких цен на заготовку, а также нестабильности в странах Ближнего Востока и Северной Африки, которые являются основными покупателями турецкой продукции, сложности с освоением новых рынков ухудшают долгосрочные перспективы развития турецкой металлургии.

Уважаемые Дамы/Господа,
Название "merchant bar "- переводится как "круглый сорт" и никакого отношения к "арматуре (rebar)" не имеет :)
Используется merchant bar , как правило, в машиностроении, а не в строительстве. Поэтому, и цена на этот вид продукции гораздо выше, чем на строительную арматуру.

Turkish rebar producers see the outlook for their export markets as positive and report that, despite the instability in the Middle East, prices are expected to remain stable at around $660-670/t fob, Steel Business Briefing learns from the market.
Most Turkish producers contacted by SBB deny reports that they are cutting production. They say that they have enough orders for March, with some extending to April production. Some producers comment that maintenance stoppages might be considered for technical reasons in April, but this is not related to a drop in demand because of the political situation in the Middle East.
Billet offers are quoted at $640/t ex-works in the domestic market. After the positions are sold and liquidation slows in the domestic market, traders’ prices are expected to recover for rebar, which has been depressed in the last two weeks.
Turkey exported 425,000 tonnes of rebar to Libya in 2010, which was 30% less than the previous year. This equates to around 35,000 tonnes/month of exports, which is seen as easily redirectable to other markets, SBB’s sources comment.

Turkish merchant bar exporters report a slowdown in their market, especially as a consequence of the turmoil in Libya. Exporters are trying to find new markets. Current merchant bar offers are quoted at around $720-760/tonne fob, Steel Business Briefing learns from market sources.
Re-rollers comment that, with Libyan and Egyptian importers being out of the market, Turkish exporters are trying to find new buyers especially in South America. But many Turkish exporters are trying to divert their exports to the same region, creating a competition amongst themselves.
Scrap imports still remain at the same level, and billet prices are reported to be strong, so unless new markets are available for Turkish exports, steel producers may see negative effects of the instability in the Middle East countries for a longer period, SBB was told.
